2015-Jan-21 - ambiguity of their

The Lady in Gold

Family strife, Europe in convulsion, the art business, and what might have been an affair between a painter and his model are among the cross currents of Anne Marie O'Connor's probe of "Portrait of Adele Bloch Bauer I," Gustav Klimt's painting of a Viennese socialite in the first decade of the 20th century. Based on conversations with participants in the twisty saga, primarily Maria Altmann, the elderly woman who wrested the iconic Klimt portrait from the Austrian government, The Lady in Gold is dense at times too dense cultural history.

Subtitled "The Extraordinary Tale of Gustav Klimt's Masterpiece, Portrait of Adele Bloch louboutin replica Bauer," this excavation covers the relationships between Klimt, a volcanic talent of voracious sexual appetite; Mrs. Bloch Bauer; her families, both nuclear and extended; and the governments of Germany, Austria, and the United States. The painting, on exhibit at Ronald Lauder's Neue Galerie in Manhattan, looks luminous; apparently, Klimt was influenced by Byzantine mosaics he christian louboutin shoes replica had seen in Ravenna, lending the work unusual incandescence by framing the pale Adele in a sea of gold. The eye and almond shapes surrounding her deepen the ambiguity of their bond, which O'Connor never quite clarifies.

Overall, O'Connor has effectively contextualized the Bloch Bauer portrait from its creation in 1907 to 1938, when the Anschluss put Austria under German control. Austrian society changed dramatically after World War I, when failed painter Adolf Hitler, an Austrian like Klimt but of red bottom shoes a decidedly different nature, began his climb to power. After the Anschluss, the Nazis exterminated Jews and then seized art works like the Klimt paintings, hiding them in various places including Vienna's mysterious cheap red bottom shoes Belvedere Gallery.

2015-Jan-21 - man beard, but in

NFL Mascots

Steely McBeam was the mascot for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Wholesale Cheap Sunglasses but they got rid of him after his "sex scandal" (nsfw). Of course the real story is that they pulled him from the mascot pool because he was arrested for DUI. He seems to be Wholesale Handbags the mascot with the rapiest of overtones, and his name is that of a pornstar.

Ever so curious, Cracked searched Steely's name on Urban Dictionary and it seemed to have a, uh, certain vulgar meaning. Steely McBeam is a sexual act where a man gives a woman sex while wearing a hardhat and eating a Big Mac.

Boltman is the mascot for the San Diego Chargers, and also the most pants shittingly creepy mascot ever. He's even scary in broad daylight, as he's a muscle man made out of freaking electricity! If that doesn't sound creepy enough for you, than let's see his comparison to Chargers Quarterback Phil Rivers:

Somewhere, Jack Nicholson's lawyers are preparing a lenghty lawsuit.

Swoop is of the Philadelphia Eagles. Really, you have to admire the above picture, Eagles fan or not: you have a bald eagle, the official bird of America, flag in hand leading his troop into battle. That, that's simply awesome, unlike this next mascot's name.

Sourdough Sam was born "a long time ago in Dem Dare Hills." His name is alliterative, so while he may not be a master Wholesale Bags baker, I'm sure he knows a thing or two about pinching off a loaf. Originally he had a mountain man beard, but in 2006 the Leage "updated" his appearance, so to speak, to this:

Acid is a powerful drug, kids. It makes you do crazy shit, like dress like an Indian and become a Redskins fan.

He isn't an official mascot, but dammit, he's all the Redskins have. Zema Williams, otherwise known as Chief Zee, has been attending Washington Redskins games in costume since the late '70s. In '83, while attending an Eagles game, some Philly fans didn't take too kind to him and beat the living shit out of him, breaking his leg, tearing off his original costume, Cheap Wholesale Sunglasses and putting him in the hospital.

2015-Jan-21 - while being a go to

Ravens featuring Giovani Bernard

The Week 10 matchup between the and the should Wholesale Snapbacks be a low scoring defensive affair. Green and rookie running back Giovani Bernard. On the one hand, Green was able to catch 11 receptions in the game for 128 yards. The reception total was a season high. Cheap Snapbacks Hats After a slow start NFL Jerseys Wholesale to the year, Green is now a must Cheap NFL Jerseys Wholesale start again in fantasy leagues every single week.

In terms of the ground game, Bernard finished with two touchdowns against the Dolphins, one of which came on a spectacular 35 yard run where he changed directions multiple times and broke multiple tackles. Fantasy owners who picked up Bernard under the assumption that he would eventually steal touches away from teammate BenJarvus Green Ellis may be seeing their hopes and predictions come to pass. In each of those losses they have failed to score more than 18 points. Wide receiver Torrey Smith has not caught a touchdown pass in four weeks and only has one on Cheap Jerseys the season. Any fantasy owner that drafted him in the hopes that he would elevate his game while being a go to guy has to be disappointed with his output. On a team with an anemic offense, it seems that Smith's ceiling for the rest of the season is low.

The way that the quarterback and the team's top running back have been playing might have something to do with Smith's poor play. Ray Rice has a grand total of 96 yards rushing during the team's three game skid. He doesn't appear to be the top running back that he used to be. That's tough to swallow for his fantasy owners, especially because teammate Bernard Pierce isn't really cutting into his touches that much. It remains to be seen whether Joe Flacco will ever be a top quarterback in Wholesale Snapbacks Hats the regular season in the way everyone's seen he can be in the playoffs.
